The famous shooter System Shock will be screened as a TV series — it will appear on the new streaming service Binge. The plot, as in the original, is set in 2072 on a space station, where an unnamed hacker emerges from a coma. He has to fight robots, mutants, and other wickedness to prevent AIs plans, nicknamed SHODAN, to take over Earth.
Binge representatives assured that they will keep the creepy atmosphere of the original project and stay true to the genre. The System Shock adaptation has joined the film adaptation of the Driver franchise, which too will appear in the Binge catalogue.
The launch of the online cinema itself is slated for 2022. Also, a remake of the original game should be coming out soon too.
