Take-Two forced the removal of a number of modifications based on GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas

The GTA Forums portal revealed that Take-Two has filed copyright infringement charges against the creators of a range of popular custom modifications. The mods that add GTA III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas. Among henceforth banned mods: GTA: Underground for San Andreas, for which were preparing a major update; GTA: Liberty City for Vice City, came out about 15 years ago; GTA State of Liberty, which appeared in 2007; GTAV San Andreas, came out three years ago; Vice Cry for Vice City, which just replaced textures and models with better quality; Liberty City Stories: PC Edition for San Andreas, came out 13 years ago; Vice City Stories: PC Edition for San Andreas, mod 8 years old.

A number of fashion builders have already declared that they are contemplating ceasing operations. Nothing is reported on the reasons for the sudden attention to global modifications.

However, optimists believe that these actions are taken before the announcement of remasters or remakes of GTA III, Vice City and San Andreas.
