Telegraph and VI: Ajax has to compete against Sporting without Klaassen

Ajax has to compete in the Champions League match against Sporting Clube de Portugal without Davy Klaassen. With that news, De Cceit and Football International will be unpacking Monday night.
According to both media, Klaassen will not travel with the Amsterdam selection to Lisbon on Tuesday. The attacking midfielder is said to suffer too much from a groin injury. He kept him on the side last Saturday against PEC Zwolle (0-2). Then trainer Erik ten Hag indicated that Klaassen would be a doubtful case for the Champions League hit, but he did not make it.
According to the two media, Maarten Stekelenburg is probably the party. The experienced goalkeeper wasnt part of Zwolle because of groin complaints, but he does get on a plane to the Portuguese capital on Tuesday. That would mean Remko Pasveer will end up on the bench again.
The absence of Klaassen will probably mean that Steven Berghuis will play as number ten again. That role played the Feyenoord attacker against PEC even though, and he did just fine. In the front right there will probably be room for Antony. He normally competes with Berghuis, but now has a free job.
