Erik ten Hag is happy with the first Europa League win of the season. His Manchester United won 0-2 on Thursday evening visiting Sheriff Tiraspol from Moldova. Goal scorers: Christian Eriksen and Cristiano Ronaldo.
“After the first ten minutes, we found our formation and played better. We scored a great goal through Jadon Sancho. We‘ve done this before this season, like against Arsenal, where many players were involved in scoring a goal. If we can keep this up, we are on the right track,” says Ten Hag at the press moment afterwards.
Ten Hag is happy for Ronaldo, who scored his first Europa League goal and also first goal of the season. “He’s really close, if he gets more fit, he‘ll score more. He’s fully committed to this project, fully engaged, he also has players coming around him, so I‘m happy with that.”
Ten Hag on Ronaldo: “He’s really close, when he gets more fitness he will score more. He‘s totally committed to this project, totally involved, he also has connections that are coming around him (on the pitch) + he is constructing connections so I’m happy with that.” #MUFC
