Erik ten Hag is pleased with the game and result of Ajax in the semi-final of the KNVB Cup against sc Heerenveen (0-3). He doesn‘t seem to be worried about the swapped Daley Blind and Davy Klaassen.
Ten Hag saw a ‘very hungery‘ Ajax in Heerenveen. “Just a good victory,” said the Ajax trainer at ESPN. “We gave the opponent few chances and finished it well ourselves. Because of our game they fell into long balls and that’s not their game, because they have a lot of good football players. We did this just fine.”
Blind stopped coming on the field in the second half, while Klaassen had to leave with complaints. “We took him out somewhat as a precaution,” says Ten Hag about Blind. “If he had to, he could have passed on, but it was better to switch him with the games that are all still coming. Same story with Klaassen. We have to wait and see.”
That Ajax was criticised for the game in the top against PSV (1-1), Ten Hag does not do much. “Look, we play so many games… Not everything is as good as it is. We ourselves are the first to look at this critically. A lot of games are pretty nice. Also get results if we play less, we master that well. Tonight I enjoyed my team.”
