Erik ten Hag will soon have a conversation with Tottenham Hotspur. That assures the Italian transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano Wednesday night. Ten Hag is one of the candidates to become the new manager in London.
The stories that Tottenham Hotspur preys on Ten Hag are not from this week. Club and trainer have been linked to each other for a long time, but due to Julian Nagelsmann‘s cancellation, things have gained momentum. Nagelsmann signed with Bayern Munich on Tuesday, so the London club will continue. Ten Hag, however, is not the only candidate.
According to Romano, a ‘direct meeting‘ is planned between Ten Hag and Tottenham Hotspur. The Tukker would be open for a summer departure at Ajax, although there is still nothing certain.
Ten Hag has been trainer of Ajax for almost 3.5 years now. In January 2018, he took over from the resigned Marcel Emperor, who had only been in service for six months. Ten Hag is also mentioned at Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Mönchengladbach had him on the list.
Tottenham have scheduled a ‘direct meeting‘ with Erik ten Hag. He’s among the candidates to become the new Spurs manager – ten Hag is open to leave Ajax in the summer. Nothing decided yet. ⚪️ #THFC #Spurs
