The authors of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XII are working on Dungeon Encounters

Square Enix announced a minimalistic role-playing game about Dungeon Encounters dungeon traversing. It will be released on October 14 on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC (via Steam) . A whole host of Final Fantasy game creators are working on the new project.

They are Ryoma Ito, the animation designer of Final Fantasy X and its producer Hiroaki Kato, and music director Nobuo Uematsu. In addition, Hiroyuki Ito, director of Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy XII, brings his Active Time Battle (ATV) battle system to the game.

In Dungeon Encounters, our unusual heroes will move around the cells, each of which may be a trap or an enemy ambush. However, there are other events on the map: health recovery, new skills, merchants, lost friends, rare items, collection replenishment, and other elements of classic role-playing games.
