The authors of Serial Cleaner make the game under the Paradox Interactive license โ€” Bloodlines 2?

Polish studio Draw Distance, which became famous due to the non-standard strategy Serial Cleaner, cemented the success of a series of visual novellas Vampire: The Masquerade. And now the studio announced a new step: the agreement with the publishing house Paradox Interactive. The subject of the contract was a certain intellectual property Paradox Interactive, which Draw Distance receives non-exclusive (with the right to issue licenses to other persons) license for production and exclusive – for publication and distribution.

The result of the contract should be the creation of a role-playing game, which so far has been codenamed Project Cardinal. Draw Distance will also be responsible for its marketing, distribution and advertising campaign.

Funds for this allocate both sides. The method of dividing the revenues from the game remains a secret.

But if the project does not bring the specified minimum of profit, then Draw Distance will lose the license to sell and a certain share of revenues. The release of the game will take place no earlier than 2023.

As to what project the authors of Coteries of New York and Shadows of New York will work on, there are quite certain assumptions. We remember that just a couple of weeks ago Paradox Interactive suspended the studio Hardsuit Labs from the development of Vampire: The Masquerade โ€” Bloodlines 2.

It is likely that it was lost developer Bloodlines 2 and is hiding under the name Project Cardinal. But official confirmations of this theory will not come soon.
