The creator of Stardew Valley spoke about the future of the game and Haunted Chocolatier

Eric Barone, who became a famous game designer after the release of Stardew Valley, gave an interview to VGKami, in which he talked about his new project, Haunted Chocolatier. But the story also touches on his only game so far. The Barone has no plans to develop Stardew Valley, although he does not think the game is completely over.

Nevertheless, it is in excellent condition, and although there is always room for improvement, he does not think that Stardew Valley needs additions and upgrades. As for Haunted Chocolatier, the future project has a lot in common with Stardew Valley, up to the programming language used and the โ€œslow startโ€: in such projects, everything adds up to an exciting gameplay Only when the player begins to see the big picture.

Haunted Chocolatier was born from simple coding experiments: Barone made a prototype of a game consisting of a single room for fun. The hero could run on it, waving his sword, and fight monsters.

But in the process, he came up with ideas and gradually the game began to evolve. As we already know, the combat system will be different from the one we already know, since both are based on the traditions of two-dimensional role-playing games.

But, in addition to simplicity, depth and intuitive clarity, they come with new features and capabilities. Haunted Chocolatier, in particular, will have a shield with a protection system.

So far, there is no news about when the release of Haunted Chocolatier can take place.
