The Stentor: Mulenga (37) returns to Eredivision-level after seven years

Jacob Mulenga can make his return in the Eredivisie after seven years. According to the Stentor, 37-year-old Zambian is almost in agreement with Go Ahead Eagles, which is going to renew his expiring contract.
Mulenga played for FC Utrecht between 2009 and 2014 and returned to Dutch soil after wandering in Turkey and China last season. The experienced striker accounted for six goals and one assist on behalf of Go Ahead Eagles and managed to enforce surprisingly Eredivision-promotion with his club. In mid-May, Kowet reported that a possible contract extension of Mulenga would be discussed.
A month and a half later, those talks were completed. According to the Stentor, club and player are almost agreeable and only the last folds have to be smoothed out. The club will inform you that Mulenga joins the selection, pending its contract renewal.
Go Ahead is currently preparing for his Eredivisie return, after four seasons in the Kitchen Champion Division. Kees van Wonderens team opens the new season on Friday 13 August, with a home game against sc Heerenveen.
