The transfer of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 did not affect the script — it was practically not changed

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn mentioned that the long break between the second and third installments of the series did not affect the scripted triquel. Some viewers suggested that the delay of the film, which was originally supposed to be released a couple of years ago, could cause changes in the plot — due to the flow of new tapes that appear in the kinoselny. However, the director replied that the way of the Guardians was predetermined for a long time.

He also added that small changes in the story were only about the creative part, and Marvel did not force Gunn to adapt events to current MCU. This happened only a couple of times when the studio asked the director to come up with a version of the Infinity Stones creation and add Thanos to the first film.

In the rest, no one creatively restricted it. In addition, the author mentioned that the Christmas episode of Guardians for Disney+ would be linked to the triquel—the film itself will be released on May 5, 2023.
