Studio Oncelost Games introduced a teaser trailer for The Wayward Realms, an open-world role-playing game. Working on the new RPG are Ted Peterson and Juliana LeFaye, lead developers of The Elder Scrolls: Arena and Daggerfall. The events of The Wayward Realms are set on a group of more than a hundred islands in a realistic scale where dozens of factions vie for influence and power.
Players will be able to change the course of history, but first they will have to prove their fulfness by fighting opponents, monsters, spirits and demons. The authors promise: a huge open world with dynamic procedural generation; kingdoms full of humans, elves, orcs, dwarves and several other unusual races; large cities with by hundreds or thousands of NPCs; an ever-evolving plot with a virtual Game Master that will cause other characters and their factions to react and plan their next move based on the players actions; a real wagering with customized skills and the ability to create your own spells, potions and enchantments; and lots of lora — from many moons in the sky to libraries with books and cultures of each race.
