Kelvin Leerdam (31) will play for LA Galaxy in the Major League Soccer next season. Surinames international was transferfree after leaving Inter Miami and signs a two-season contract.
LA Galaxy reports this on Thursday via its official channels. The club has included an option in the contract, with which Leerdams contract can be extended for one season. The defender has been playing in the United States since 2017, where he started with Seattle Sounders. There he managed to get several prizes on hold.
Last season, Leerdam played 29 Major League Soccer games for Inter Miami, in which he gave one assist. “Kelvin is an experienced, championship-winning players and were very happy that we got him to the club,” says LA Galaxy trainer Greg Vanney. “His quality brings more depth to our selection and we look forward to him playing an important role in our team.”
