‘Three NEC keepers almost transfer-free, ‘multiannual’ offer for Branderhorst’

Mattijs Branderhorst can still enter the Eredivisie with NEC, reports the Gelderlander. The closing post has an expiring contract, but according to the regional medium can still sign with the Nijmegen PhD student.
Branderhorst has been playing for NEC since the beginning of 2019, changed last season with Norbert Alblas, joined the team in the spring and managed to force his team in the play-offs promotion to the Eredivisie with his team. After the won finals against NAC Breda, he announced that he was still in the waiting room, but according to the Gelderlander, NEC decided to make a decision.
The goalkeeper trained at Willem II can sign a multi-year contract and the conversations between club and player are already going, it sounds like. Whether Branderhorst will also be able to take up the offer is still a little while: he is reportedly in the interest of a number of other clubs.
As it looks now, NEC is out of goalkeepers at the end of the month: not only Branderhorst is out of his contract, Norbert Alblas and Job Schuurman are almost transfer-free. The Nijme owners were recently linked to 36-year-old Danny Vukovic: Australias triple international left in the spring at Racing Genk and is without a club.
