Guus Til will play the next two seasons on a rental basis for SC Freiburg. The midfielder is rented from Spartak Moscow. Til only has to be medically examined.
The 22-year-old player left AZ last summer for sixteen million euros and signed a contract for four seasons with the Russian club. But the trainer who attracted Til, the Russian Oleg Kononov, left shortly afterwards.
Under that coach, Til was still a regular at the beginning of the season, but under his successor Domenico Tedesco, the Dutchman ended up on the bench. Til played a total of 26 games for Spartak, in which he scored twice.
The singular international of the Dutch Team was also in the spotlight of PSV, but prefers a foreign league. Til consciously opts for a two-season rental with the club that finished eighth in the German Bundesliga last season.
