Tobiasen brings up memories: ‘I hate to have no notes about it’

Ole Tobiasen has so far an excellent season at Almere City. The team of the Danish trainer did not lose a single match in the Kitchen Champion Division and is currently in second place.Tobiasen enjoys the success at Almere, but thinks he still has a lot to learn in the trainer profession. Tobiasen has been trainer of De Zwarte Sheep since 2019, who previously worked in the youth training of SC Heerenveen. The practice master still has a good relationship with his old employer.
โ€œEvery time I come to Heerenveen, I am welcomed with open armsโ€, says Tobiasen against the Friesch Dagblad. Tobiasen likes to see that two former teammates are currently leading the first team of the Frisian club. โ€œJohnny Jansen and I are of the same year and he played in the second when I joined Heerenveen. Jeffrey Talan always walked around in Heerenveen‘s youth education and is now assistant to Johnny.โ€
Tobiasen indicates that he actually thought he was going to be a trainer. โ€œAs a player, I was never so busy with the trainer profession, but as the years progressed, it started to attract me more. Six years ago, it really started to itch, and when I became an assistant trainer, it still tasted like more.โ€
The 45-year-old Dane now realizes that he should have thought of a career as a trainer earlier. โ€œI’
m pretty sorry now that in my time as a player I never even took notes of the trainings Foppe gaveโ€, laughs Tobiasen.
