Tonight the curfew goes into

Tonight is the moment: from then on there will be a curfew. This means that people are not allowed to go outside from 9 o‘clock in the evening until half past 5 in the morning. This applies to everyone, including children under 13 years of age.

People who go outside for work, for example, need to have a special form with them. People who are outside for no good reason can be fined at 95 euros. The police, fire department and ambulance don’t have to carry such a form with them.

Less visits and parties

As a

result of curfew, experts hope that people are less likely to visit each other. Also, it becomes more difficult to give banned parties. If people meet less often, the spread of the corona virus also goes less quickly.

So the curfew starts tonight and is valid until Wednesday 10 February at half past 5 in the morning.
