Transfer-free Pieters signs with new club in England: ‘I want to prove my’

Erik Pieters has found a new club. The 34-year-old defender signs transfer-free with West Bromwich Albion, a Championship club. Pieters draws until the end of the season.
Pieters relegated with Burnley from the Premier League and was transfer-free ever since. He has been training with West Bromwich over the past few weeks. โ€œIt means a lot to sign here. Everyone knows I‘ve been transfer-free for a while, so I’ve worked really hard at home to keep myself in shape,โ€ says Pieters on the West Bromwich club site.
โ€œI want to prove myself now and show me what‘s left in me. It’s up to me to prove that I‘m worth it and that I still have what it takes to play football at this level. I am convinced that I can do that. I really enjoyed it here. From the first day I came in, the boys were great with me and I’ve had a good relationship with the manager. I really feel at home here.โ€

We are delighted to announce the signing of Erik Pieters. โœ๏ธ Welcome to Albion, Erik! ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ
