Monday 5 October was ‘Deadline Day’ when it comes to transfers for clubs in foreign football. The Dutch Eredivisie is already on its way four rounds, but until next night midnight the clubs still have the opportunity to reinforce themselves for the remainder of the first half of this season. Telesport outlines the most important transfer news from home and abroad.
MONDAY 5 OCTOBER
Rafinha for three years to Paris Saint-Germain
23.59 hrs: Brazilian midfielder Rafinha continues his footballoopbaan in France. The FC Barcelona trained player was transfer-free and signed a three-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Rafinha (27) trained at Barcelona where he signed his first professional contract in 2011. In the 2013-2014 season he was already lent to Celta de Vigo. Over the past two years Rafinha also played on a rental basis elsewhere: first at Internazionale in Italy, the last season again at Celta.
Midfielder Partey swaps Atlético Madrid for Arsenal
23.59 hours: Midfielder Thomas Partey moves from Atlético Madrid to Arsenal. Both clubs agreed on the closing day of the transfer period. The changeover of the 27-year-old Ghanaians is allegedly amounted to EUR 50 million. He played 188 duels for the Spanish club.
“ We followed him for a long time and are glad to be able to add a player of this level to our selection,” said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. The Uruguayan international Lucas Torreira is walking the opposite path. The midfielder is rented by the Spanish club from Arsenal for a year. Atlético Madrid also said goodbye to Croatian international Nikola Kalinic. The 32-year-old attacker moves to Hellas Verona, where he signs a contract for two seasons.
Benfica hires French defender Todibo from Barcelona
23.55 p.m.: Benfica has taken over the French defender Jean-Clair Todibo from FC Barcelona. The Portuguese club hires him for the next two years and can then enlist him permanently. The agreed buyback amount is EUR 20 million. Barça already receives 2 million euros for the rental period.

Atalanta loses Diallo to Manchester United, which also has Cavani within
23.35 hours: Italian Atalanta, opponent of Ajax in the group stage of the Champions League, loses attacker Amad Diallo to Manchester United. According to the English club, the 18-year-old Ivorian will not be added to the selection until January, when all the paperwork has been arranged. The 18-year-old outsider has signed a five-year contract with his new club. Last month, Doku made his debut in the national team. He comes from the youth training of Anderlecht.
“ Selling Doku now was not part of our plan, so I regret that we have to let him go”, said top man Karel van Eetvelt. “But we got a very good offer from Rennes, an absolute record amount for Anderlecht. In the current situation, that was undeniable. With the agreed transfer fee, we can secure the financial health of the club, step by step.”
Lang swaps Ajax for Club Brugge
23.07 hours: Noa Lang swaps Ajax for Club Brugge. The Belgian champion takes over the attacker first on a rental basis. By 1 July 2021, this agreement shall be converted into a permanent transfer. The 21-year-old striker was under contract with Ajax until mid-2021.
Wesley Hodt returns at Lazio
22.40: Wesley Hodt returns to Lazio. The Italian club hires him until the end of this season ofSouthampton, with an option to buy. The 26-year-old Dutchman traded Lazio for Southampton in 2017. He played 45 matches for the English club and played for Celta de Vigo and Antwerp on a rental basis.
Hoedt signed his first professional contract at AZ at the end of 2012. The Noord-Hollander moved to Lazio in mid-2015. So far he has been out six times for the Dutch team.
Manchester United finally stands Smalling to AS Roma
22.13 p.m.: Chris Smalling has permanently left Manchester United. The 30-year-old Englishman signs a four-year contract with AS Roma, the club for which he already released on a rental basis in the last season. The 31-fold international played 323 matches for Manchester United. At AS Roma he has so far been active in thirty competition duels.
Heracles Almelo contracts Kasper Lunding Jakobsen

RKC Waalwijk rents Belgian midfielder Nöstlinger
21.47 hours: Middenvelder Nando Nöstlinger of RKC Waalwijk returns to Belgium. The 22-year-old Belgian finishes the season on a rental basis at KSC Lokeren-Temse. At the Brabantse Eredivisie-club he has no view of playing time in the main power.
Nöstlinger signed a contract last summer for two years in Waalwijk. He has a Belgian and Austrian passport. Nöstlinger completed the youth training of RSC Anderlecht and moved to Rapid Wien in 2016. A year later he joined Royal Antwerp.
Telles strengthens selection Manchester United
21.05 hours: Manchester United has attracted Brazilian defender Alex Telles. 27-year-old Telles, who signed for four years, comes over from FC Porto.
“ Being part of a club like Manchester United is a huge honor. You have to work hard to get into your career right now, and now that I come to this club, I can promise that I will give everything to succeed here,” said Telles. “I won a lot of prizes at FC Porto and I want to continue with that at United.”
Telles was taken over by Galatasaray from the Brazilian club Grêmio in early 2014. After a few seasons in Turkey and a rental period at Internazionale, he ended up at Porto in 2016. In 2018 and 2020 he won the championship with that club.
Bayern Munich won three players on closing day
20.05: Bayern Munich added three players to the selection on the last day of the transfer term in Germany. It involves attacker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, winger Douglas Costa and right-back Bouna Sarr.
The European champion captured the transfer-free Choupo-Moting for one season. The 31-year-old international of Cameroon was awarded as a stand-in for the Polish striker Robert Lewandowski. Choupo-Moting played last season for Paris Saint-Germain, winning Bayern in the Champions League final.
Bayern Munich took over Costa on a rental basis from Juventus. The 30-year-old Brazilian played for the German club between 2015 and 2017. Then he left for the club from Turin.
Sarr signed a four-year contract in Munich. The 28-year-old Frenchman comes across from Olympique Marseille.
Juventus takes over attacker Chiesa from Fiorentina
20.03 hours: Juventus has strengthened himself with Italian attacker Federico Chiesa. The club from Turin rents the 22-year-old international for the next two seasons of Fiorentina. After that, the champion of the country finally takes over him.
The transaction is reported to have a total amount of between EUR 55 and EUR 60 million. Chiesa is part of the Italian selection that will take office for the Nations League against Orange on 14 October.
Karim Rekik for five years to Seville
20.00 hours: Seville has after Oussama Idrissi also Karim Rekik contracted. The 25-year-old defender, who happened to Hertha BSC, has signed for five seasons in Spain.
Rekik played three seasons for Hertha BSC, which took him over from Olympique Marseille in 2017. Before that, the defender played for two seasons on a rental basis with PSV.

Ajax brings rented Bandé back from Switzerland
19.37 hours: Ajax gets Hassane Bandé perstraight back to the Netherlands. The attacker played on a rental base for the Swiss FC Thun, where he would play until the summer of 2021.
The 21-year-old Bandé was taken over from the Belgian KV Mechelen two years ago. He is still under contract with Ajax until 30 June 2023. Bandé was not yet released for the first team. He did play four duels for Jong Ajax.
FC Twente has selection around with Dervisoglu
19.20 hours: With the arrival of Halil Dervisoglu FC Twente has the selection around. The former player of Sparta is rented by the tukers from Brentford, England. Dervisoglu (20) undergoes the medical examination on Tuesday and then joins the selection of Ron Jans.
Red Bull Leipzig rents Kluivert from AS Roma
18.07 hours: Justin Kluivert plays until the end of the season for RB Leipzig. The German club hires the 21-year-old outdoor player until the end of the season of AS Roma. Kluivert moved from Ajax to AS Roma in 2018, where he has scored nine times in 68 duels.
PSV rents Bruma and Sadilek
17.54 hours: PSV has confirmed the rental of attacker Armindo Bruma. The Portuguese moves to Olympiakos Piraeus. The Greek club rents Bruma for a season and has stipulated an option to buy.
Bruma came from RB Leipzig for about 15 million euros last summer. The 25-year-old outsider, who still has a contract for four years, never met the expectations of PSV and was often a changeover.
PSV lets Czech midfielder Michal Sadilek gain experience at Slovan Liberec. The Czech club hires 21-year-old Sadilek, from PSV’s youth training, until the end of the season.
Klaassen finally back at Ajax
17.24 hrs: Davy Klaassen is definitely back at Ajax. After the former captain left the door of the Johan Cruijff ArenA in the summer of 2017, he returned more than three years later. Ajax pays Werder Bremen a transfer sum of about 11 million euros for the 27-year-old midfielder, which can amount to 14 million euros.
Transfer-free Van der Heijden returns at Willem II
17.19 hours: The transfer-free Jan-Arie van der Heijden continues his career at his former club Willem II. The 32-year-old defender signed a contract in Tilburg until the end of the season.
“ A lot has changed here since I left in 2011. In terms of results, things have been getting better here in recent years. During the conversations I got a warm feeling that I had to go for William II again. I want to join the group on Tuesday and get to know everyone”, says Van der Heijden.
In the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 seasons Van der Heijden was rented by Willem II from Ajax. Then he played for Vitesse and Feyenoord.
Willem II started the season a bit disappointing. Of the four honorary divisions played, only one was won. In the preliminaries of the Europa League, the Tilburgers were defeated by the Scottish Rangers FC.
FC Utrecht records German goalkeeper Oelschlägel
16.38 hours: FC Utrecht has captured the German goalkeeper Eric Oelschlägel. The 25-year-old goalkeeper has signed a contract that runs until the end of the current season.
“ Goalkeeper Fabian de Keijzer recently suffered an injury and is not employable for several months. As a result of this development, we looked for an additional closing post to complement our existing goalkeeper guild of the first team. That search brought us to Eric, an athletic goalkeeper with good reflexes on the line,” explains technical director Jordy Zuidam of FC Utrecht.
Oelschlägel was under contract with Borussia Dortmund in the last two seasons, where he played one match in the first team. That was in the 2018-2019 season in the cup tournament.
On Monday FC Utrecht announced that first goalkeeper Maarten Paes went into quarantine after a positive corontest. Because of that, he signed out of Jong Orange.
Van Ginkel makes his appearance again at PSV
15.54 hours: Marco van Ginkel is rented back by Chelsea to PSV. The 27-year-old midfielder played twice before half a year for the Eindhovenaren, and was active in Eindhoven in the 2017/2018 season.
FC Emmen sets Van Rhijn for one season
14.21 hours: FC Emmen has recorded Ricardo van Rhijn for one season. The 29-year-old defender, eight-fold international, came out last season for sc Heerenveen.
“ With Ricardo, we win a highly experienced player who also has Champions League experience and has won multiple awards,” said Chairman Ronald Lubbers. “We are convinced that his qualities in the back, both on the wing and at the centre, will be an enormous added value for theteam.”
Van Rhijn played with Ajax from 2011 to 2016, after which he moved to the Belgian Club Brugge. Then he returned to his own country, near AZ and Heerenveen.
FC Emmen is still waiting for the first victory after four duels in the top division and stands fifteenth.
Ilic returns at FC Twente in the Eredivisie
14.20 hours: FC Twente has rented 21-year-old midfielder Luka Ilic from Manchester City. The Serb played for NAC Breda in the last two seasons, where he scored seven times in 45 matches and delivered seven assists.
Ilic is happy with his temporary transition, says the footballer who played in the top division at NAC in his first season. “I look forward to this step. When FC Twente arrived recently, I knew no doubt, a proud feeling that a big club like FC Twente came in.”
The young assailant is the property of Manchester City. With the English top crew he has little sight on playing minutes. FC Twente rents Ilic for one season. He will join the selection of trainer Ron Jans next week.
Toulouse brings Stijn Spierings to France
14.07 hours: Toulouse has received Stijn Spierings (24) as a replacement for Ibrahim Sangaré, which was presented last Monday by PSV.
Spierings comes over from the Bulgarian top club Levski Sofia, which took him over from RKC eight months ago. The midfielder should become one of the pillars of the new project of director Damien Comolli and RedBird Capital, which recently took up 85 percent of the club.

The 24-year-old attacker completed the training of Feyenoord and moved to FC Groningen at an early age. There he experienced his breakthrough at the highest level, and then made the transition to AZ in early 2018. At the Alkmaar club Idrissi formed a successful strio with Calvin Stengs and Myron Boadu. In nearly 100 official matches for AZ, he scored 37 goals.
Idrissi has now played seven interlands for Morocco. At Sevilla, which is active in the Champions League, he becomes a teammate of striker Luuk de Jong.
Danny Bakker leaves at ADO Den Haag

With Tom Beugelsdijk (191 matches), Lex After (258) and Aaron Meijers (250) already three players left for ADO who played in green and yellow for years.
Danilo from FC Porto to PSG
11.23: Portuguese international Danilo moves from FC Porto to Paris Saint-Germain. The French champion hires Danilo for a year, with an option to buy. “It’s a great challenge for me to play football for one of the biggest clubs in Europe,” says the 29-year-old midfielder, who played for Roda JC in the 2012-2013 season. “I hope I can offer a lot to PSG and its fans.”
As a mercenary of Parma, Danilo made a good impression in the top division at Roda in 2012-2013. Through the Portuguese club Maritimo, he ended up with FC Porto in 2015, which won the controlling midfielder twice. With Danilo as captain, Porto took the ‘double’ in its own country last season.

Everton took over 20-year-old Kean from Juventus for over 30 million euros last year. This season, Kean could not count on playing time with Everton, who after four rounds is the lead with twelve points.

Terell Ondaan on rental basis to NEC
NEC has strengthened itself with Terell Ondaan. The 27-year-old attacker comes across from Grenoble and is rented until the end of this season.
Ondaan went through the youth courses of HFC Haarlem, Ajax and AZ. After that, Ondaan left for Telstar, where he made his debut in paid football. Willem II later attracted him transfer-free and in Tilburg Ondaan got his PhD to the Eredivisie.
Later Ondaan was to be released for Excelsior, BB Erzurumspor, PEC Zwolle and Telstar, after which he signed with Grenoble Foot 38 last year.
Younes for two seasons to Bundesliga
15.42 hours: Former Ajacied Amin Younes returns to the Bundesliga. The 27-year-old outsider of Napoli will play on a rental basis for Eintracht Frankfurt for the next two seasons, which will then be able to recruit him permanently. The German club does not have to pay a rent to Napoli. Younes himself has made a lot of money in order to be able to take action again in Germany.
Younes switched transfer-free from Ajax to Napoli in 2018. “ Ante is undeniably talented. He made his debut at a high level at an early age and then made the move abroad. A club like Roma has such a wide selection and countless choices. That’s where you really need to be able to profile yourself right away,” says Stan Valckx, technical manager of VVV.
Wouter Burger on a rental basis from Feyenoord to Sparta
17.21 hours: Sparta takes over Wouter Burger from Feyenoord on a rental basis. The 19-year-old midfielder will join the A-selection of trainer Henk Fraser on Monday and will play in red and white striped for the rest of the season.
Director pays football Henk van Ste: “With Wouter Burger we bring in a multifunctional midfielder that provides more opportunities in our selection after the departure of Mohamed Rayhi. Because it can be deployed in multiple positions, we also increase the competition among themselves.”

Xandro Schenk to Saudi Arabia
22.51 hrs: FC Twente player Xandro Schenk immediately continues his career with Al Batin in Saudi Arabia. He just needs medical examinations. Schenk had a contract until the end of this season in Enschede.
Mo Rayhi of Sparta already announced that he is moving to Al Batin. Schenk says on the website of Twente about his transfer: “I obviously have a double feeling when leaving, we started well and I have played everything so far. Heerenveen sees Norwegian talent choose AC Milan
13.53 hours: AC Milan has attracted Norwegian talent Jens Petter Hauge. The 20-year-old wing striker comes over from Bodø/Glimt and signed a contract in San Siro until the summer of 2025. Hauge was also in the interest of sc Heerenveen, but the Frisian club was seen when Milan showed interest.
Hauge recently played in San Siro, Milan’s home port. He had to compete with Bodø/Glimt in the third heat of the Europa League against the ‘Rossoneri’ (3-2). Hauge did score and impressed the Italian club leadership so much that he now switched to Milan.
The talent already scored fourteen goals in the Norwegian league this season for Bodø/Glimt, which goes unthreatened and won the first national title in the club history.
VVV-Venlo rents French midfielder Machach from Napoli
11:15 hrs VVV-Venlo rents the Frenchman Zinédine Machach until the end of the season of Napoli. The Limburgers have also negotiated an option to buy on the 24-year-old midfielder.
“ Zinédine is a creative midfielder who has insight and an eye for the cross pass. At Toulouse and Napoli, of course, he has had a fantastic school,” says technical manager Stan Valckx. “He also played the necessary matches in Ligue 1 in France and Serie B in Italy. Machach played in youth for the French clubs AS Cannes, Olympique Marseille and Toulouse. He made his debut at Toulouse in May 2015 in Ligue 1, and in January 2018 Machach moved to Napoli, which rented him to Carpi, Crotone and Cosenza for the past year and a half.

The 24-year-old Hrustic came to FC Groningen four years ago. Eintracht Frankfurt pays about EUR 1 million for him, as several media know.
Union Berlin hires goalkeeper Karius of Liverpool
18.24 hours: Goalkeeper Loris Karius continues his career at 1 FC Union Berlin in the Bundesliga. The 27-year-old goalkeeper arrives on a rental basis from Liverpool, where he lost playing time after his blunders two years ago in the Champions League final against Real Madrid (1-3).

First Israeli footballer under contract at Arab club
13.38 hours: For the first time in history, an Arab club has signed an Israeli footballer. Diaa Sabia, a 28-year-old attacking midfielder, moves for 2.5 million euros from Guangzhou R&F, the Chinese club of trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst, to Al-Nasr.
The football club from the capital Dubai of the United Arab Emirates has already put online footage of Sabia at the Al-Maktoum Stadium. The footballer was born in northern Israel and is of Palestinian origin.
The special transfer appears to be a direct result of the agreements recently concluded between Israel on the one hand and the Gulf States of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates on the other. Under the watchful eye of US President Donald Trump, Arab countries normalized their relationship with Israel.
Sabia is tenfold international of the Israeli national team.
Manchester City buys Portuguese defender Dias from Benfica
10:14 hours Manchester City takes over central defender Rúben Dias from Benfica. The English top club pays 68 million euros for the Portuguese international plus a bonus of 3.6 million euros.
At the same time, defender Nicolás Otamendi is taking the opposite route for an amount of EUR 15 million. The 32-year-old Argentine played five seasons for City.
