Tuchel emotional: ‘I hoped never to have to do this, am devastated’

Thomas Tuchel climbed into the pen on Sunday evening. The German manager has responded to his resignation from Chelsea for the first time. Tuchel states that he is โ€œdevastatedโ€ by his exit from London.
Tuchel didnt post anything on Twitter for two years, but after his resignation from Chelsea, that changed. The coach is clearly struggling with his own departure. โ€œThis is one of the hardest statements Ive ever had to write. For years, I hoped that I wouldnt have to do this,โ€ Tuchel begins. โ€œI am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end.โ€
โ€œThis is a club where I really felt at home both professionally and personally,โ€ he continues. โ€œI want to thank all the staff, players and supporters for making me feel at home with the club from the start.โ€
โ€œThe pride and joy I felt when I won the Champions League and World Club World Cup with the team will always stay with me. I am honored to be part of the history of this club. The memories of the past nineteen months will always have a special place in my heart,โ€ concludes Tuchel.
