Twente makes deal official: ‘After talking with Streuer and Jans, my feeling was good’

FC Twente has officially made the arrival of Virgil Misidjan. The Tukkers are bringing in the 27-year-old assailant, who signed for two years, transfer-free.
On Wednesday this website announced that the transition from Misidjan, who played at PEC Zwolle over the past six months, to Twente was almost complete. A day later, the number ten of the Eredivisie confirms the arrival of the outsider via the club channels.
โ€œI look forward to the new season and hope for a good time at FC Twenteโ€, Misidjan responds to his transition to Twente. โ€œI can really look forward to playing here in full Grolsch Veste, with the atmosphere of the supporters. After a conversation with Jan Streuer and Ron Jans, my feeling was right. After a difficult period I was able to show myself again at Zwolle in recent months. I want to continue that line at FC Twente.โ€
Technical director Jan Streuer is of course pleased with the arrival of Misidjan. โ€œIts nice that Virgil will play for FC Twente next season,โ€ he says. โ€œWe were looking for a creative attacker who has scoring ability and can give an assist. Such a type of player is Virgil, he showed it again at PEC Zwolle last six months. Virgil can play in the attack on both sides and has the necessary experience, which we can use in our young selection.โ€
