Two men have been arrested for possible involvement in a shooting incident in the Constantijn Huygensstraat in Capelle aan den IJssel. This is where a place was shot on Friday night. A resident was slightly injured.
Shortly after a chase in Utrecht, the police caught two suspects, a 31-year-old Schiedammer and a 19-year-old Rotterdam. Cops also found a firearm.
The resident of the house that was shot up had an appointment with one of the men he didnt know about. Around 8:00 p.m., they were at the door and he let the duo in. Then there was a fight in which one of the men fired shots. The 47-year-old resident managed to work the two out of the house. His 33-year-old girlfriend was home, too.
According to the police, one of the men arrested in Utrecht met the description of the person who was in Capelle aan den IJssel just before that. The firearm was thrown out the window of the car and was found a little later.
A little further down in Capelle, in the Charactostraat, a house was shot twice on Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning. Friday around 4:00 P.M., police found bullet impacts and casings at the house. Around 4:00 a.m. the next day, cops went back to the house again, because there would have been another shot. Once again, they found bullet impacts and casings. At both times, no one was present in the house. Police are investigating and looking for witnesses. According to the police, the shooting incidents in the Charactostraat and Constantijn Huygensstraat have nothing to do with each other.
