Two refugees found dead in overcrowded van in Austria

Police have found nearly thirty refugees in a small van in Austria, two of whom had already died, Austrian media reports. The driver and possible human smuggler made themselves out of their feet.

The smuggler had brought the people to Austria from Hungary. Just across the border, the bus was arrested by police because the officers found it suspicious. The driver hit the flight right away. According to the Kroner Zeitung, the man may be armed.

When the officers opened the van, they saw the refugees crammed up in a very small space. It would be mostly men from Syria.

In August 2015, a truck with 71 stitched refugees was found nearby, including three children and a baby. They too had entered the country through Hungary.
