The British government announced on Saturday to investigate how video footage on which former health minister Matt Hancock kissed an employee reached the media. The draining of the footage led to the Ministers resignation on Saturday.
The news about the forthcoming investigation was announced by statements by Northern Ireland Minister Brandon Lewis on Sky News and Time Radio.
To the radio station, Lewis said to investigate whether it was “appropriate” that there was a camera in Hancocks office and “how the video ended up in the public domain.”
The countrys main opposition party, the Labour Party, would like to see whether former Minister Hancock had violated even more guidelines for cabinet members during his reign. According to the Sunday Times, which would have accessed documents to do so, Hancock is waiting for an investigation into allegations that he would have used his personal email account for government cases, which would be contrary to the aforementioned guidelines.
