Update: ‘Koeman to sign at Orange up to and including the 2026 World Cup’

De Cceit reports that Ronald Koeman succeeds Louis van Gaal as national coach of the Dutch team. Bond and trainer have agreed on a contract that will commence on 1 January 2023.
Koeman was already intended to take over from Van Gaal. The latter still does the World Cup in Qatar, then he waits off. The talks between the KNVB and Koeman have gained momentum after it became known that Van Gaal is ill.
According to De Cceit, the players of the Dutch team are behind Koemans return to Orange and it was even an emphatic wish for some. Under Koeman, Orange got color on the cheeks again, the player group was so bad that he left to become the head coach of FC Barcelona, Koemans big dream. Frank de Boer succeeded him, but said goodbye again after a failed European Championship.
A number of players are now aware that Koeman is returning to the KNVB. It is planned that he will be able to become a national coach again from 1 January 2023.
