FC Utrecht won a home game for the first time since October last year. Then three points were taken against FC Twente, this time was won from that other professional club from Twente. In Stadion Galgenwaard it became 2-0 against Heracles Almelo.
Both teams started with the same number of points to the match. But where Utrecht had only two points from the last three duels, Heracles had escaped the lower regions of the ranking due to a series of good results.
Nevertheless, Utrecht was the stronger team for the whole race, although it was helped by the Almeloans, who made little of it in Utrecht.
On the slightly snowy field, the teams came to offensive acts for rest but difficult. When Gyrano Church was unlocked well, the attacker shot in a hurry at goalkeeper Janis Blaswich.
The same Blaswich went wrong after half an hour of playing a headball by Sander van de Regio, which allowed Utrecht to rest with 1-0.
Dalmau scores against former teammates
Even after rest Heracles barely appeared in the play. Twenty minutes before, Utrecht delivered the final blow, with Dalmau of all the sentences: 2-0.
The striker left with an argument two years ago from Almelo and on the field it was noticed that that animosity had not yet disappeared.
Dalmau was able to score up close when goalkeeper Blaswich couldnt control an effective free kick of Adam Maher.
Utrecht ended a difficult week, during which the team was met by angry supporters after the midweek defeat against Vitesse, with a good feeling.
