‘Valencia crosses the bridge: problems surrounding Cil lessons transfer solved’

The problems that existed between Jasper Cillessen and his current club Valencia CF have now been solved, reports de Gelderlander. Nothing stands in the way of the return of the Dutch goalkeeper in Nijmegen.
On Sunday, Cillessen sat down with Valencia and a compromise was rolled out about the problems that the goalkeeper still had with the club management. According to NEC technical director Ted van Leeuwen, the goalkeeper would still receive money from Valencia and the Spanish wanted him to waive that amount. The driver of the Nijmegen people also said that these problems can even stand in the way of a possible transfer. Due to these problems, the NEC press conference around the transfer was postponed twice.
According to various sources, Cillessen will sign a contract in Nijmegen for three seasons. The transfer amount that NEC transfers to Valencia would be around one million euros. Due to the problems, the 33-year-old goalkeeper was also unable to take action during the 0-1 lost game against FC Twente. Cillessen watched from the stands as Sem Steijn still made the winning against the Nijmegen people in the final phase.
