Marco van Basten doesn‘t think Eden Hazard is going to be fine. During the match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, the Belgian forward was sitting on the couch for ninety minutes in the Spanish Supercup. Van Basten understands Real trainer Carlo Ancelotti.
Hazard made a crushing impression with Lille OSC and Chelsea in his early years, but Real doesn’t want to work out. The attacker is often injured and especially keeps the sofa warm when it is fit.
“I don‘t think it’s a matter of good,” says Van Basten at the desk at Ziggo Sport. “I‘m convinced that if Ancelotti feels and sees that he can be of value, he’ll just set it up. I think Hazard‘s big period is over.”
Youri Mulder, who, like Van Basten, was present to analyze the match between Barcelona and Real, is boating from the decline of ‘beautiful player‘ Hazard. “But those ‘beautiful players‘ must continue to perform,” Van Basten hooks in. “And if they don’t deliver too long, it‘s about.”
The match between Barcelona and Real ended Wednesday evening in a 2-3 victory for De Koninklijke. Federico Valverde ensured the winning goal in the overtime.
