Rangers FC manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst will be able to dispose of Malik Tillman next season. Bayern Munich is sending the twenty-year-old talent to Glasgow on rent, both clubs announce Friday night via official channels.
Born in Nuremberg in 2022, Tillman is an American football national and made his debut for Team USA this summer. This season, Tillman — taken over from Greuther Fürth at the age of thirteen — also played his first seven games for Bayern: in August 2021, he immediately scored in the cup game with Bremer FC (0-12). However, Der Rekordmeister has decided to let him gain experience elsewhere.
In fact, there is a good chance that he will leave permanently, as Rangers has stipulated an option to buy. “Im glad we can include Malik in the selection for the coming season,” says Van Bronckhorst via The Gers club channels. “He is an interesting, talented, young player and he will give us more options in offensive terms. As coaching staff, we look forward to working with him.”
