Paul Pogba has fought back in the basic self of Manchester United, which is currently the leader of the Premier League. The Frenchman indicates that it was very difficult to play the midfielders of The Mancunians from the team.
Pogba was in the same boat as Donny van de Beek at the beginning of this season. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer preferred other players and that did not suit the French midfielder. “I hate sitting on the couch,” he says to Sky Sports. “It doesn‘t mean that others don’t deserve to play, but when I look at myself, I just don‘t like it.”
When Pogba was also infected with the coronavirus, a return to the basic self seemed to be a difficult story. “The players who played in my position did great. Fred, Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay played well and it’s also because of them that we are now where we stand. We‘re the leader now, and I’m really happy about that. I have to think about the team.”
However, the 27-year-old World Champion repacked himself and was already kicking off in ten Premier League matches this season. Donny van de Beek only played in two league matches from the start and seems to be the sixth choice behind Bruno Fernandes, Pogba, Matic, McTominay and Fred.
