Van de Haar (17) follows in fathers footsteps: He is very proud

Jesse van de Haar signed his first professional contract with FC Utrecht on Friday. The son of Hans van de Haar, former player and striker trainer of the club, signed for two years. A great moment for Van de Haar junior (17).
Van de Haar, who accounted for 33 goals in 24 games last season at Utrecht O17, plays in the attack just like his father. He made his debut for Young Utrecht on Friday night against TEC, where father Hans is head coach again. That match ended in a 1-1 draw.
โ€œJesse is a physically strong striker with a nose for the goal,โ€ says head of training Robin Pronk of Utrecht on the club site. โ€œIt‘s an attacker who is sharp in the sixteen-metre area and has a high return when it comes to goals. Jesse is very ambitious and always focused on improving himself, a top sports attitude that we love to see. In addition, it is nice to see that he has been trained for a long time at Sports Complex Zoudenbalch.โ€
โ€œMy father is very proud, although he doesn’
t show it very much. He likes it a lot,โ€ says Van de Haar. Father Hans says he is extremely proud’. โ€œIt‘s pay after work. He has been in training for years. That boy does everything for it and leaves a lot for it. If you see what he has achieved in the past year: his driver’s license, a HAVO diploma and a two-year contract with Utrecht. What more could a father ask for?โ€
