Van de Looi opts for high ex-Ajax content, Boadu change, Geertruida on stand

Myron Boadu will be on the bench at Jong Oranje in the EC qualifying match against Young Switzerland on Friday. National coach Erwin van de Looi prefers Brian Brobbey and Joshua Zirkzee.
The two are part of a team with a high ex-Ajax level. Kjell Scherpen, who traded the Dutch champion for Brighton & Hove Albion, defends the goal. Amsterdammer Jeremie Frimpong, out for Bayer Leverkusen, is the right back. Ajacied Devyne Rensch, together with former teammate Sven Botman (OSC Lille), is the heart of defence. Former Feyenoord, Sparta and PSV youth player Ian Maatsen (now Chelsea) is left back.
Melayro Bogarde (Hoffenheim), Ludovit Reis (Hamburger SV), Jurgen Ekkelenkamp (Hertha BSC) and Quinten Timber (FC Utrecht) form the midfield. The latter two are also from Ajaxs youth school. That also applies to Brobbey, who is a vanguard with Zirkzee.
Lutsharel Geertruida was summoned as an additional player for Young Orange on Tuesday. However, the Feyenoord defender is not part of the competition selection.
Young Orange kicks off in Switzerland at 7pm. The home country is leading in the six-points qualifier from two games, the Netherlands is on three points from one duel after winning Young Moldova.
