Van der Vaart wants two changes at Ajax: They didnt hit a ball

Rafael van der Vaart insists on two changes at Ajax in the Champions League game with Napoli. The people of Amsterdam were overwhelmed by the Italians in the first half.
โ€œIt‘s deserved. Ajax hasn’t been in the game for a moment yet,โ€ says Van der Vaart at Ziggo Sport. โ€œThey got ahead and had some dangerous moments, but Napoli also had good chances.โ€ The former playmaker calls Napoli‘s equaliser ‘a world goal‘. โ€œThat boy finds out about Blind and gets him in well. An insanely good attack. They scored three times, but they were able to make a few more.โ€
Van der Vaart is critical of Remko Pasveer’
s role in the 1-3 shortly before the break. โ€œThey are so dangerous, but Pasveer should have had them. He takes a step in the wrong direction and falls backwards a bit silly. That ball was almost shot in the middle. Here he could have done more. But this is Napoli‘s game: so sharp in the counters and even at the ball, they’re just much better.โ€
Van der Vaart advises Alfred Schreuder to make two changes. โ€œI would bring Klaassen and Brobbey and get Tadic and Berghuis off. Then Kudus on the right and let Klaassen walk into those sixteen meters and hope that ball falls in front of his feet. Tadic hasn‘t touched a ball, we didn’t actually see Berghuis either. They often play the long ball, maybe Brobbey can hold it. It has to be much better.โ€
