Van Gerwen suffers second loss in a row in Premier League

second defeat in a row in the Premier League of Darts. This time Gary Anderson turned out to be too strong: 4-7.

Van Gerwen did get a 4-3 lead, but after that the best was off. Anderson broke the Dutchman on a 4-4 position and didn’t give up the initiative after that.

Wednesday Van Gerwen went down as well. Glen Durrant then treated him to a 7-3 defeat. On the ranking the Dutchman dropped to fourth place.

On Tuesday Van Gerwen started the special six days of Premier League – set to make up for the lost days in the corona crisis – with a big win on Rob Cross.

The Premier League of Darts was six out of seventeen rounds of play when the competition was interrupted by the coronavirus. It is now catching up with six consecutive rounds of play behind closed doors in Milton Keynes from 25 to 30 August.
