Van Halst thinks Ajax players should not whine: Thats Calimero behavior

Jan van Halst believes the Ajax players should not whine about the free-kick that preceded Benfica striker Darwin Núñezs decisive 0-1. The Ziggo Sport analyst indicates afterwards that this “Calimero behavior” should be out of place.
At Ajax, they were not happy with arbitrator Carlos del Cerro Grande and his team. The people of Amsterdam were convinced that the free-kick from which the 0-1 fell out was not valid. “I think that
s such a nonsense, to go bakkelie about that,” Van Halst is critical at Ziggo Sports table. “Its a bit of doubt, huh. I think hes tapping it softly.”
Van Halst understands the reaction of the Ajax players, but feels they have no right to speak. “It was extra weird, because that linesman flagged a few seconds later. But that
s Calimero behavior. Then youre gonna whine about that. No, make sure that guy doesnt buy him in. You always have these questionable things in between.”

“Dont whine about that offense. Calimero behavior!” 🥚 @Jmvanhalst is clear after shutdown #ZiggoSport #UCL #AJABEN
