Van Morrison releases three anti-lockdown songs

Van Morrison does not agree at all with a possible new lockdown in the UK. The Northern Ireland singer is going to release three songs in which he clearly expresses his opinion on the coronation measures.

In Born To Be Free, the single to be released on September 25th, Morrison sings that he doesnt think the new normal is normal at all. On 9 October, he presents As I Walked Out, in which he comments on the information the government shares about the coronavirus. No More Lockdown (23 October) is, as the title reveals, an argument against a potential new lockdown.

Morrison does not want to tell his fans what to think with the songs. “The government already does that well enough,” the Brown Eyed Girls singer said in a statement to British media. “Its about the freedom to make ones own choices, I believe people should have the right to think for themselves”

Morrison was also critical of the measures for concerts earlier. Although he believes that shows for a small audience are unprofitable, the singer has planned several more gigs this month and next.
