Van Nistelrooij draws four positive conclusions after PSVs dream start

Ruud van Nistelrooij speaks of a ‘dream start’ after winning the Johan Cruijff Scale. At his official baptism of fire, the new PSV trainer immediately won his first prize.
โ€œEveryone got out of the game, a number of guys have been debuted, we scored five great goals and won a prize,โ€ Van Nistelrooij lists all the positives at ESPN. โ€œThis was fun, a dream start.โ€
PSV fell behind due to a goal by Steven Bergwijn. โ€œWe had to defend with all hands on deck,โ€ acknowledges the trainer, who saw his team get better into the game after half an hour. It resulted in a rousing 3-5 victory in Amsterdam.
โ€œWhen we came 2-4 ahead, I switched. That also had to do with thatโ€, explains Van Nistelrooij. โ€œI took off some guys who had played less in the preparation. Some of them were quite empty.โ€
PSV will play its first game against AS Monaco in the third heat of the Champions League on Tuesday. The kick-off in Stade Louis II is at 8 p.m. The return is one week later in Eindhoven.
