‘Vennegoor of Hesselink himself wanted to show solidarity with De Jong and also quit it’

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink also initially wanted to quit PSV. Voetbal International reports this. The technical manager wanted to show solidarity with his director John de Jong, but he convinced him to stay.
For years, Vennegoor of Hesselink was John de Jong‘s right-hand man at PSV. As technical manager, the former striker acts as a bridge between the youth school and PSV’s first team. For that position, Vennegoor of Hesselink worked as head scout for the people of Eindhoven.
After De Jong left, due to a lack of trust from the supervisory board, Vennegoor or Hesselink decided that he wanted to show solidarity with his director. But De Jong didn‘t like this idea and he reportedly talked to his technical manager for so long that he decided to stay with PSV after all. In his active career as a football player, Vennegoor of Hesselink also played with the people of Eindhoven for a long time.
De Jong’
s departure would be the result of an internal crisis of power, in which the day-to-day management and the supervisory board are directly opposed to each other. PSV has not yet found a successor for the departed technical director.

PSV did not only threaten to lose John de Jong from the technical framework. Jan Vennegoor or Hesselink also considered leaving Eindhoven. https://t.co/SdCphlX3gz
