Alireza Jahanbakhsh returns to work in the Eredivisie after three years. Football International announces that Feyenoord is almost complete with the Iranian Eredivision-top scorer of the 2017/2018 season.
Feyenoord came to Jahanbakhsh in his search for a successor for Steven Berghuis, who is about to sign at Archrival Ajax. The Iranian made a name at NEC and AZ and earned a transfer to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2018, but has had three unsuccessful Premier League seasons. Feyenoord has done business fast: according to VI, the transfer will be completed this week.
Jahanbakhsh is still at Brighton until mid-2023, which, however, provides full cooperation. Whether it‘s a final transfer or a rental period, it’s not clear yet. The generally well-imported Feyenoord Transfermarkt reported earlier this week that a ‘construction‘ is being underway.
Feyenoord already strengthened with Guus Til, Marcus Holmgren Pedersen and Ofir Marciano. The Stadium Club is also chasing Hajduk Split defender Mario Vuskovic.
