ESPN analyst Marciano Vink is critical of Wout Weghorsts attitude. After his first Orange goal, the striker was particularly enthusiastic and reacted when he was switched.
Weghorst is back in the selection of the Dutch team for the first time in a long time and made his first international goal against Georgia. The reaction was significant. “You already knew at Wolfsburg that it was very deep. Everyone grants him a goal, but you can continue it until you are switched,” says Vink bij Voetbal Talk.
“That wasnt okay. If you have passed Luuk de Jong in one fell swoop and changed for another player, so not even a competitor, and then have such an attitude.. I saw from the face of Frank de Boer that he was not served by it.”
“Its very much over the top. I think Gravenberch also made his first goal, which is a boy of 18 years old. Its beautiful, but it shouldnt be annoying,” says Vink.
