Thomas Buitink plays for PEC Zwolle for the rest of the season. Vitesses attacker is rented by the Zwollenaren.
Despite his young age (20), Buitink has played for the necessary minutes in the main power of Vitesse. In February 2018, the then 17-year-old attacker made his debut in the 3-1 match against Feyenoord. Meanwhile, the counter stands at 63 games, in which he scored eleven times.
Lately, Buitink was mostly on the spare bench.
Step in the right direction
“ This is a step in the right direction for me,” says Buitink. “Right now Im at a crossroads in my career. I can finish the beautiful season off the base at Vitesse, or Im going to work in Zwolle on the development of me as an attacker and can be of value for this beautiful club. I prefer the latter, because flying hours are the most important thing now.”
The game against Willem II on Friday evening comes too early, Saturday Buitink joins the selection of the Tilburgers.
Buitink is already the second attacking reinforcement for PEC in a short time. The club attracted Virgil Misidjan earlier this month.
