Vitesse is working on successor Spors: new technical director on his way to Arnhem

The position of technical director at Vitesse probably does not remain unoccupied for long. The club has Benjamin Schmedes in his sights, a 36-year-old German, so knowledgeable German sources report to VoetbalPrimeur. Schmedes is in the picture to become the successor to Johannes Spors, who left for Genoa.
Schmedes comes from the network of Vitesse owner Valeri Oyf and is also a well-known of Spors. Schmedes was head scout at Hamburger SV for over three years and six months of technical director at VfL Osnabrück, the club where he left after the relegation from the Bundesliga last summer. He still had an ongoing contract there until 2023, but consciously withdrew.
Vitesse is equally unsteering in the technical field after the departure of Spors to Genoa. Marcel Klos also leaves in his wake. He observed the honors temporarily after the departure of Spors and has now flown after his compatriot to Genoa.
