Vitesse strikes offensive battle: Bialek must make Openda forget in Arnhem

Vitesse has strengthened with Bartosz Bialek on a rental basis, reports the club through the official channels. The Polish attack leader comes over from the German VfL Wolfsburg for one season.
โ€œSwitching to Vitesse feels like the perfect choice for me,โ€ says a happy Bialek on the site of his new club. โ€œAfter a number of good conversations, I cant wait to get to know my teammates and compete with them. I saw Vitesse fight back to a tie last Saturday and hope that we can get more and more points in the coming period. Im going to give everything for the club and its supporters.โ€
Bialek has played 36 games for his club VfL Wolfsburg so far. In 2020, the twenty-year-old striker was taken over for five million euros from Zaglebie Lubin from his native Poland. In total, he scored nine times in 20 games for that club. For Wolfsburg, he only let the net roll twice in those 36 games. Bialek also played ten games for Poland Under 21.
The tree-long striker should reverse the dramatic start of the season in Arnhem. After four games, the Arnhemmers are in sixteenth place with only one run. This point was reached on Saturday after a draw against RKC Waalwijk. At the Gelredome, Bialek must make you forget Lois Openda. The Belgian striker scored 37 times for coach Thomas Letschs team in the previous two seasons. Eventually, the hired Belgian went back to Club Brugge. That club lent it to the French RC Lens for this season.
