Rick Kruys is the main candidate to succeed Jos Luhukay as a trainer at VVV-Venlo. Conversations with the 37-year-old practice master have started, know various media, including De Cceit.
Kruys was put forward as interim trainer after René Hake‘s dismissal from FC Utrecht. He makes no secret of the fact that he wants to continue as head coach after his interim ship, but Henk Fraser’s appointment at Utrecht makes him unable to stay in the Dom City. Willem Janssen, the new technical director of VVV and just left Utrecht, has been charmed by Kruys.
In the meantime, the conversations between Kruys and VVV about a possible transition have started, the morning newspaper knows. When both parties come out personally, the Limburgers will still have to deal with Utrecht. Kruys‘ contract with Utrecht continues until the summer of 2023.
It looks more and more likely that FC Utrecht is going to lose Rick Kruys to VVV-Venlo. The Limburgers are talking to Kruys about a transition. Kruys is the top candidate for the vacancy of head coach for VVV’s club management and technical manager Willem Janssen.
