‘VVV-Venlo wants to bring player back to Limburg’ after six years

VVV-Venlo thinks of a return of Joeri Schroijen. Thirty-year-old Limburger is still playing in Greece at Xanthi, which comes to the second level.
VVV wants to bring Schroijen back to De Koel now, reports the Limburger based on sources within the club. Schroijen has another one-year contract with Xanthi. Its not clear how Schroijen himself is capable of doing that. VVV wants to get Schroijen as left outside, reports the Limburger. Previously he played as a left-back at the club.

Schroijen just spent a few months at Xanthi. He made the transfer to that club in February. Schroijen played in the Netherlands for FC Eindhoven, Fortuna Sittard, Go Ahead Eagles, VVV and MVV. At the latter club he played no less than five seasons, after which he switched to Greece. VVV relegated from the Eredivisie last season.
