Good morning! Rain and cold temperatures of the road surface cause freezing and therefore code red is declared in parts of the country. And the first 63- and 64-year-olds receive a coronavaccin from AstraZeneca at their GP.
Today it is cloudy and rain or drizzle for a long time. During the first morning hours, especially in the northeast and east, there is also a chance of smoothness due to freezing. This afternoon it will be 3 degrees in the north to 7 degrees in Zeeland. In the next few days there will be a little rain every now and then. It is soft with a degree of 9 in the afternoon.
Because of the freezing rain, code red applies this morning in parts of the Netherlands. Do you have to go on the road? Here you will find an overview of the traffic situation. Check the timetable for the track here.

And then here’s this:
Last year the Netherlands imported EUR 1.1 billion of avocados. Thus, it is now the number one fruit varieties that come from abroad – and the avocado has outdone bananas and grapes, reports the CBS. Most of the avocados coming in here are transferred back to other European countries.
But also in the Netherlands the avocado is becoming increasingly popular. Due to the high demand, more and more farmers are going to grow avocados. There is a great deal of criticism, because it requires a lot of water and forests are being cut down for it.
