Walrus spotter wanted (and you can do that from your home)

Are you really good at searching? Then maybe this is for you. The World Wildlife Fund is looking for volunteers who want to help them spot walruses. Not in the wild, but on satellite images. So thats just possible from the couch.

The nature organization conducts research into walruses so that they can better protect the animals. Their habitat consists of ice and that is now getting smaller and smaller due to global warming. Due to the melting ice, more ships sail in this area and those are also dangerous to the walrus.

By searching the walruses on satellite images, the researchers can learn more about their habitat without disturbing the walruses. They hope for about half a million walrus spotters who want to help them. Do you want to join? You will find more information via this link.
