“We still had a heavy pot on Saturday and she didnt, you saw that again”

Ruud van Nistelrooij has mixed feelings after the 1-1 against AS Monaco. PSV got the lead, but was overrun in the second half and so Van Nistelrooij can live with the results.
The vote was double, the players were disappointed because we played 1-1, but given the second half it was also realistic, says Van Nistelrooij in front of the camera at ESPN.
The fatigue certainly played a role, says the PSV trainer. We still had a heavy pot on Saturday and she didn‘t. You saw that again. All in all, we are disappointed, but the result is justified. We had the game under control and scored a good goal. We tried to expand on that, but we got away well and had to fight. We started and ended as a team. It’s game-on next week.
Captain Luuk de Jong is also limping on two thoughts. It was quite a struggle, yes. And also quite stuffy. We all fought together. It certainly wasn‘t easy for us, especially not in the end. We came out of it hard and were sloppy at the ball ourselves. Then you won’t get into your game well either. Fortunately, we made the goal. Even in the second half, we did not achieve good attacks and they also put quite a bit of pressure. We had trouble with that.
Of course it is tough if you played against Ajax on Saturday and now have to go again, but we have to be fit enough for that. We have to look for it in ourselves. If you are sloppy yourself, it just gets really hard. You can be satisfied with a 1-1 draw. Monaco is a tough team. With the fans behind it, I expect that we can put a better match on the mat, says De Jong.
