Wenger points arrows at six clubs: Dont understand how to accept this

Arsรจne Wenger doesnt have a good word left for the twelve Super League clubs. He also focuses on the six English clubs that wanted to start a top competition.
Wenger thinks the plan to create a Super League didn
t have a chance of success. โ€œIt was an idea that was stillborn. I dont think it would work, but what surprises me most is the attitude of the English clubs,โ€ says Wenger to The Telegraph.
The Frenchman refers to Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal. โ€œEveryone in Europe dreams of destroying the Premier League, but in England we do it ourselves. I don
t understand that, because England voted for a Brexit and now they want to start a Super League. The English competition is the strongest competition there is. The Super League would destroy the Premier League, one hundred percent.โ€
โ€œThe basis of sports culture in Europe is that you can get into the top thanks to your achievements. I dont understand how you can accept this as a supporter,โ€ says Wenger. โ€œMoreover, the presentation was particularly amateurish. It seemed like a quick solution for the clubs that have financial problems due to the pandemic.โ€
โ€œIf we learned one thing during the pandemic, it
s how important the fans are, but thats completely ignored. Ultimately, this is an American project that Florentino Pรฉrez has become president of because he is the head of the largest clubs in the world (Real Madrid, red.). I think this is an American project.โ€
