Wiegman and English ladies demolish Latvia: record and ‘double double’ numbers

Sarina Wiegman and the English ladies lashed out in the World Cup qualification against Latvia on Tuesday night. After more than 90 minutes of play, there was a 20-0 final score on the scoreboard, a record in the womens World Cup qualification series.
Four players from the English team managed to make a hat-trick. Beth Mead, Ellen White, Alessia Russo and Lauren Hemp, who even made four. The Latvian women
s team was already looking at an 8-0 backlog at the tea break.

England is fast on its way to the World Cup. In the qualifying series, the first match against Latvia was already beaten 10-0. After six games, the team has a goal balance of +53 and Luxembourg (10-0) and North Macedonia (8-0) were also beaten with big figures.
Wiegman left the Orange Lionesses to embark on the adventure with the English ladies. Nick Parsons replaced Wiegman at the Dutch women
s team.
